ABOUT THE COURSE

The Class 2 vehicle is a rigid vehicle in excess of 3,5T, usually 7.5T and above. Common terminology for such a vehicle is Class 2, Rigid Body or LGV.

Typical examples of these vehicles are 8 wheeler tipper waggons, and Refuse collection vehicles, companies use these vehicles for local, inner city or National deliveries.

Historically these are seen as the step between a 3.5T Van and an Artic, however companies use these vehicles where it is more economic versus an Artic.

Wages for newly qualified Class 2 drivers is at a high level, where drivers can expect to earn in the region of £25k and upwards.
